Information We Collect

For clients using the Servicio app, we collect only the information needed to provide and improve the service:

  • Full Name: Used to personalize your experience.
  • Mobile Number: Used for account recovery, security (e.g., OTP), and support.
  • Location Data (optional): If enabled, used to show nearby service providers and improve matching.
  • Camera Access (optional): Used only for in-app features you choose (e.g., profile photo or in-app sharing).
  • Device & App Diagnostics: Basic technical information (e.g., app version, device model, crash logs) to maintain and improve app stability.

We do not collect: email addresses, home addresses, certificates or clearances (NBI/Police), birthdates or age, or bank account details.

Firebase Services

The app uses Firebase to support essential features:

  • Messaging: Firebase Cloud Messaging for optional push notifications (e.g., booking updates).
  • Analytics & Diagnostics: To understand app performance and fix issues (no collection of the excluded personal data listed above).
  • Secure Storage (limited): Used only for content you explicitly upload (e.g., profile photo). We do not store certificates, clearances, or bank details.

Data Collection and User Consent

We process your information with your consent and in accordance with applicable laws, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). You can choose not to provide optional information or disable location at any time via your device settings.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide Core Features: Show nearby service providers, manage bookings, and deliver app functionality.
  • Security: Support authentication (e.g., OTP) and prevent abuse.
  • Support & Maintenance: Respond to support requests and improve app performance.
  • Notifications (optional): Send booking updates and important service notices if you opt in.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with:

  • Service Providers (Technology): Trusted vendors (e.g., Firebase) who process data under our instructions and safeguard it.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and users’ safety.

We do not share or collect: bank account details, certificates/clearances, home addresses, birthdates/age, or emails for clients.

How We Protect Your Information

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit; sensitive paths are secured.
  • Access Controls: Access is restricted to authorized personnel for legitimate purposes.
  • Secure Infrastructure: We use reputable cloud infrastructure with security best practices.

Your Rights

  • Access & Correction: Request access to or correction of your information.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal requirements.
  • Objection & Withdrawal: Object to or withdraw consent for certain processing (e.g., analytics or notifications).

Opt-Out and Cookie Preferences

You may disable analytics or notifications within the app where available, or adjust your device settings (including location permissions).

Data Retention

We retain client information only as long as necessary to deliver the service or as required by law. When no longer needed, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

Child Privacy

The Servicio app is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent is required by law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. When updated, we will revise the “Effective Date.” Please review this page periodically.
